My dearest Father,

Another year gone by and I still think about you every day. 14 years is a long time to miss someone, but I will always miss you, Dad. I promised myself I wasn't going to cry today, but it seems my heart disagrees with me. I know you're watching over us and guiding us where you can. Some day we will be together again.

A lot has happened in the last 2 years, I don't even know where to begin.

My last post was about my Grandmother and her struggles with suffering from Alzheimer's brought on by dementia.

She did manage to stay with us for the next 2 years but sadly, she passed away in the early part of February of 2014. I'd like to think that she finally said that she'd had enough and she was ready to go. She didn't suffer any pain and her passing was gentle. She's finally reunited with her husband of 54 years and her only son-in-law and they're all somewhere watching over us, giving us encouragement and support and enjoying a nice barbecue. <3

On the plus side, my baby sister is expecting my first niece! I am so excited to finally be an aunt and I cannot wait to spoil her rotten. She's going into the last of her second trimester and we're looking at possible the week before Christmas for a birth. I've been giddy with happiness since the news. My own kids are excited to have a new little cousin to spoil as well. A blessing to our family. She and her boyfriend have decided on the name "Marley" because they are both huge Bob Marley fans. No decision yet on middle names, but they have plenty of time.

I'm still playing in Paint Shop Pro, just not as often as I used to and mostly just email signature tags. Maybe I'll put up a couple here in the near future.
